On-Site Facilities
As well as our shop and cafe areas, and our lecture theatre, there are a variety of other on-site facilities offered at the Stirling Smith. These include:
- A popular meeting room, which is often used as a venue for smaller groups. For details on how to book a meeting, please have a look at the details, and terms and conditions, on the lecture theatre page.
- Assisted disabled access to the building, including a wheelchair lift in the main reception area to allow ease of transport between the building's facilities and main gallery areas.
- Guided tours by the Stirling Smith's volunteer Gallery Guides. Tour themes include the history of Stirling, Wallace and Bruce, and Victorian Stirling.
- Ailie's Garden and the Outdoor Gallery - open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and one of the highlights of any visit to the Smith.
- Ladies and gents toilet areas, including a disabled access toilet area with baby-changing facilities.
- Children's activities based around our permanent exhibition, including colouring in and dressing up.
